Recruiting Counselors for the Nishiyamato English Immersion Program

We need fun, outgoing counselors for a large group of Japanese junior high boys visiting BYU from Nishiyamato Gakuen in Japan. Your job will be to create a fun, rewarding, and exciting “American” experience for these Japanese youth, who may tend to be reserved in this new culture. You can work any or all of the shifts available. An additional two and one half hours of paid training is required.

Qualifications

College age (18–25). You should be friendly, fun and engaging with youth. You must be punctual and able to strictly adhere to each shift’s specific schedule. A current ecclesiastical endorsement and criminal background check is required. You do not need to speak Japanese. You do not need to be a BYU student.

Mandatory Training Meeting: Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 5:30-7:30 pm

Shifts Oct. 27 (4:30pm-7:00pm) ; Oct 28 (4:30pm-7:00pm) ; Oct 31 (7:30am-9:15am, 10:00am-11:45am, 11:30am-12:30pm, 12:15pm-2:45pm, 2:30pm-4:30pm)
